- time to make a bid is fast approaching
- Kingston is probably out as Jeff Boyd is not interested
- Miami has been talked about but no proposal/progress has been made
- Buzzards Bay is still an option but would require the class to hire someone to run
- Ethan Bixby said St. Pete is still an option is the class desires
- discussion about Hawaii and Bermuda possibilities

- shipping subsidy for north americans
- current subsidy is $2000 for the opposite coast
- agreement that subsidy would be skipped for 2009 due to subsidy from st francis
- for Chicago 2010 only, $2000 will be given to west coast and $1000 to east coast
- 2011 will revert back to current subsidy plan of $2000 for opposite coast

- Andrew Buttner presented a idea of asking US Sailing for a matching grant to help a new member buy a boat. The class would contribute and US Sailing would match. Is this an idea to pursue?
