The hull:
– fiberglass/honeycomb/epoxy. The boat will outlive us. Still very stiff, hold plenty of rig tension and makes all the ‘stiff’ noises when going fast in chop. We have not broken down in a long time.
– gel coat was sanded off and hull has been professionally faired and painted with Alex Seal topcoat paint. The bottom is fast.
– updated outer bulkhead opening which allows crew douses and eliminates Spinnaker sock. It’s just a plus for utilizing the space as well
– larger Spinnaker tube for faster hoist and douse
– new okume plywood watertight bulkhead with carbon taping. Replaced forestay tang with solid G-10 block at same time.
– new mast step and custom rigging for all block leads.
– top and bottom covers
– trailer and dolly
Rigging:
– Deck was repainted with white awlgrip in 2008 but there has been paint chipping on the deck. All cosmetic and doesn’t effect the longevity of the boat.
– compact strand shrouds, and wire forestay
– complete adjustment of standing rigging, under deck guy purchase, trap twings, auto ram adjuster, and ram keeper for downwind.
Spars:
– Proctor Cumulus. Newer halyards (2:1 main halyard), has trap twings. Carbon Waterat twin pole launcher.
– Cumulus is the work horse of 505 masts in that they are very robust.
– Carbon boom from Farr 40 spinnaker pole. Had an extra and decided to build it up. Not as light as a selden or custom boom, but this thing is bulletproof. 2 lbs lighter (at least) than aluminum.
– Twin carbon poles.
Blades:
– Waterat HA 480 Centerboard
– Waterat old-school rudder
– carbon tiller/extension
Sails:
– 1 Ballard sail main and 1 older glaser technora main. (one is fine for racing, other OK for training)
– Ok Ballard Sails Dacron jib
– OK glaser tech jib
– Good glaser spinnaker
– Ok glaser spinnaker
– I can probably dig up some more sails in our quiver like older kites, etc.
